Animal Centre Manager Blog January 2022 The construction has begun again after the Christmas break. The main focus being the refurbishment of the existing kennels into the hydrotherapy suite, clinic and grooming facilities. These services are going to be a key part of our centre as a charge for service to generate income for the branch. The visitor car park has now been fenced and the surface has gone down, and the courtyard between reception and the cattery is also looking great, and will be seeded in Spring. We are a year into the work now and look at the difference in the past 12 months. The photo below shows a drone photo from January 2021 (bottom), and one from January 2022 (top). The copse at the back of our site is being transformed into a wildlife haven. We are looking for plants to go in and around the pond - please get in touch if you would like to donate something. Georgia has been an Animal Care Assistant at the centre since October 2018 and has now started a new position with the branch as an Animal Welfare Officer, having more of a presence out in the community, assisting with animal welfare call outs and running the branch neutering scheme. Georgia says - This is a huge opportunity for us to promote the branch and reach the most vulnerable in the community who needs our support. I will be working along the inspectorate team and easing the pressure they are under enabling us to help more animals. It is an exciting time to be part of Mount Noddy as the Animal Care Assistant job closes and we begin interviews this week.
